Walking the Walk
If you're anything like me, you tend to be quite hard on yourself, especially when it comes to fulfilling God's will for your life and obeying Him. I strive for every aspect of myself to mirror His character and advance His kingdom. However, I've come to realize that much of that is beyond my control. I don't dictate how the Lord utilizes me; instead, I simply need to find peace in the certainty that He is indeed using me. After all, you don't proclaim your goodness to others; rather, you demonstrate it through your actions. Similarly, as a Christian, your way of life should affirm your commitment to following Jesus, without the need for vocal declarations.
Today, a passage from James 3:18 resonated with me: "But I will show you my faith through my good deeds." To me, this signifies the importance of not only talking the talk but also walking the walk. For those, like myself, who still wrestle with self-criticism even after reading this, I want to offer a gentle reminder: extend grace to yourself. You're doing well. The mere desire to serve the Lord and advance His cause is evidence that you're actively engaged in the mission of advancing His Kingdom.
